Summary
In the body oxygen water and glucose are all regulated the process is called homeostasis. To keep homeostasis the body keeps itself in a constant negative feedback loop. Which is the homeostatic mechanism which is like a cooler or heater in your home. The human body is always at a 70 degrees Celsius, The homeostatic mechanism would detect temperature in the air and make the body react according to if the temperature in the body goes down or up. When the body is cold it produces shivering which cause the negative feedback produce heat in the body which makes the body warmer. When the body gets to hot the negative feedback lop comes in to make the body sweat which cools the body down. Then there is another part of negative feedback which is Osmoregulation which is the negative feedback loop of water in the body. Organisms that live in freshwater environments are faced wit excess water entering and exiting their bodies. While with land animals they have to conserve water more the sea creates and that happens with their water being more conservative then their blood. Then the other thing humans do is have a urge for thirst which is caused by the brain when there is less water in the body. Then the other part is Gas Exchange which causes the level of carbon dioxide and oxygen to be dissolved the same way for respiration to happen. Gas exchange happens in the human body thanks to passive transport within the lungs. Then there is the regulation of blood glucose. The body requires 90 to 100mL of blood glucose in the body when it goes to low or gets to high the negative feedback loop tries to get it back to normal. When the pancreas detects high glucose it releases insulin which makes the cells get the glucose. When insulin isn't diperced in the body to make the cells eat the glucose diabetes happens in the body. When the blood glucose is low it release glucagon which increases the level of blood glucose. Thats all you need to know about homeostasis.

If you want to prepare yourself for this part of the Keystone do more research on the negative feedback loop and positive feedback loop cause they are different from on another. Take window book notes on what negative feedback does for the body and what is its main functions. Do some research on Google scholar to find out what else does negative feedback do. Watch YouTube videos about what negative feedback and positive feedback do to the body and do research on insulin and what happens when you run out of it.
